Can it really be that simple? It is for me.

Sure, we love fair food, or anything fried for that matter. The games, vendors, concerts, family, and friends are all nice additions, but for me it always comes down to the animals.

You most likely know I grew up in a farm/agricultural family, and being around lots of animals is synonymous with that upbringing. I have been riding horses, and going to horse races my whole life. It’s literally a part of who I am.

Every spring the country gets excited for thoroughbred racing during the race to the Triple Crown. As exciting as horseback racing is, something about the comfort of harness racing just brings joy straight to my face.
