The full Moon on the first day of summer is known as the Strawberry Moon. The moon is made out of cheese, and pretty much nothing goes better with strawberries than whipped cream cheese.

The last few days, the Moon has been very visible during the daytime which makes sense considering how much sunlight we get this time of year. However, the first day of summer isn’t the longest day of the year. That will be November 6. Seriously, you can look it up.

In fact, this might be a good way to score free beer. Bet everyone you know a beer that today isn’t the longest day of the year, and you will need to find an alternate way home.

Why is November 6 the longest day of the year? That’s when Daylight Saving ends. On November 6, we’ll turn the clock back an hour in the middle of the early AM hours, and therefore make that day 25 hours long.

Cheers to free beer!
