Due to coronavirus pandemic that’s sweeping the nation, the grand prize drawing for the St. Jude Dream Home will be moved from later this month to the new drawing date: June 24.
The folks with St. Jude don’t want to put anyone at undue risk, so there will not be open houses for the time being. Tickets are still on sale at their website: dreamhome.org and you can charge by phone at 800-390-3196.
About 7,000 tickets are already sold – an amazing amount considering the unprecedented times we’re living in now – and we’re hoping to sell a record 9,000. Your $100 ticket gets you in the drawing for the beautiful, three-story home in Peoria Heights that features 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a 3rd floor balcony and 2,400 square feet.
If/when we hit the record 9,000 ticket mark, that would be $900,000 raised for the St. Jude cause, where no family ever pays for their child’s cancer treatment or travel, housing or food that insurance doesn’t cover. And if you buy your ticket by May 20, you’ll also be in the drawing for the 2020 Honda Civic Sedan from Bob Lindsey Honda.
