So Peoria: Who Do You Stand Up For?

standup2My mom had cancer. My mother in law had cancer. My grandmother died of cancer. You don’t have to be on this planet very long, and know somebody who has had cancer.

It really hits you when you stop and think about it for a minute. Life goes on, but for many it doesn’t, or not the same way it once did.

Watching the All Star game last night, the whole stadium took a moment to stand up for someone who has battled cancer. Everyone knew somebody. Many knew multiple people. 40 thousand plus people, and they all knew somebody. That’s the world we live in.

Lately, it feels like we live in a time where we can’t get anything accomplished. If we do nothing else, lets end cancer.
