Do you know someone who wears flip flops year round? Yeah, I’m that guy too. Seriously, I regularly, not just occasionally, walk in the snow and throughout winter in flip flops.

Today is National Flip Flop Day. Pretty sure it’s meant to recognize the footwear, but it is an election year. So, maybe there’s other issues at play?

Have never been a sandals person. Tried it out for a summer back in 05, and just couldn’t get it to take.

Have always loved flip flops, but they weren’t any better than sandals because the padding was too thin, and had zero arch support for my 260lbs, so my feet were always killing me. The other complication flip flops presented was they always broke. There is nothing worse than when the strap rips out due to wear, or the someone stepping on the back of your flip flop while walking.

Finally flip flops are better than sandals because they make the thicker with nearly indestructible straps.

Aside from anyone in the esthetics industry, who loves both types because they make pedicures a necessity, do you prefer flip flops or sandals? What brand is your favorite?
