There’s a new law being created in Missouri to allow fans to order beer from an app to be delivered directly to their seat during Cardinals games at Busch Stadium.
Some sections of Busch already have concierge service, but those tickets are like a billion dollars. Also, if you’re going to be able to order beers, why not throw in some nachos and dogs while you’re at it? Then again, what does this do to the mobile beer vendor throughout the stadium? Imagine they get the app order when it’s placed in their section, and they immediately head your way to crack a cold one for ya.
The beverage vendors can already accept cards, so if anything, this just saves their vocal chords from calling out, “Iced cold…” all the time.
Know what they should add next, air conditioning and personal bathrooms? Oh, and toss in a mini big screen to get a better view too. What would be even better is if you could get all these things in a more comfortable seat like your recliner or couch in your living room.
Baseball recently has spent a lot of effort speeding up the game for a “better experience.” If somebody is going to bring me cold ones to my seat all game, you have my blessing to make that game go as long as you can. (Isn’t it about time baseball had a halftime?)
I love baseball, and sometimes I can get a little defensive about all the changes. It’s the greatest game ever. America’s past time. Baseball is perfection. Baseball is lyfe!
