Early this morning at Chanel’s 2016 Fall fashion show, their latest ambassador, or rather ambassadress, was announced. It should come as no shock that the young ambassadress is none other than the 15 –year- old powerhouse daughter of the dynamic couple known as Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Yes, Willow Smith will now be joining the Chanel family just like actresses Kristen Stewart and Blake Lively who have worked with Chanel and fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld for years.
Smith has been recognizably wearing Chanel to events since 2013 and the teen already has big ideas for her role as ambassadress. According to Teen Vogue, Smith said,
I feel like there is so much creativity going on that I want to inject some of my ideas and some of my energy into the brand, because I feel like there’s a lot of things that come from youth nowadays that need to be expressed and amplified to the world.
The young star first stepped in the music spotlight back in 2010 with her single “Whip My Hair” and has certainly taken the entertainment industry by storm. Smith can already be classified as an actress, singer, and dancer but with her new ambassadress title, combined with the fact that most brand ambassadors are featured in Chanel’s ads, it seems like it’s only time before Willow Smith adds “model” to her resume.
