Yesterday, the HOI Fair kicked off at Peoria’s Expo Gardens! And, I brought my boys out for the “Celebrity Swine Showmanship Competition”. You would think that third time is a charm and I would have won, but I am not getting any better at working with pigs. BUT, I am getting really good at cooking bacon on the grill… so there’s that.
This week though, the food is already prepared at the fair! We grabbed pork burgers at the commodities tent, red velvet funnel cakes, and lemon shake ups. I can’t stop thinking about them.
Rides, food, live music, and fun for the whole family await you! AND you can beat the heat with ice cold drinks and the air conditioned building!
