This song blew up the radio world this summer and you loved it… even if you have no clue what he is saying. The video clocked in at just under 177 millions views on YouTube!

So much talent has jumped onto the mainstage of mainstream and Kevin Gates has to be one of the leaders charging out of the “Gates.” Lame pun, I know. But, Kevin Gates is on the rise and someone you should have on your radar going into 2017!
8. Belly ft The Weeknd – Might Not
I have a personal love of this song! The beat is hotter than an eskimo in the desert, The Weeknd slays the hook, and Belly comes out of the gates like a bull ready to gore someone. This is an all around club banger!
7. G Eazy ft Bebe Rexha – Me, Myself, & I
2016 was a big year for G Eazy! He even hit an awards show dressed like the lead for Grease. But, he was on stage with Britney Spears, so we can’t judge one of the biggest emerging artists.

While “Oui” is french, Jeremih used a clever play on words to make this smash for 2016! We hooked listeners up with tickets to see him at ISU in October and hopefully he comes back to central Illinois soon!

The King of the Baye Area jumped on the track “Saved” with Ty Dolla $ign, who is one of the hottest artists out right now! Look for bigger and better things from Ty Dolla $ in 2017!

Mike Posner emerged from obscurity with a hit that took the music world by storm! The video has over 693 MILLION views.
3. Rihanna – Needed Me
Rihanna’s song “Needed Me” has almost 122 MILLION views! This is a personal favorite of mine too. Get it RiRi!!!
2. DJ Khaled ft Drake – For Free
Even though they don’t want him to have another one, DJ Khaled teamed up with Drake and produced another one!
1. Drake ft Wiz Kid & Kyla – One Dance
Not only did this song smash records like most streams on Spotify, but the album “Views” was the best selling album of 2016! It is definitely good to be Drake! And according to his acceptance speech at the AMA’s, more is coming!
