Hosted by the Marquette Heights Men’s Club, it is known as the longest-running outdoor haunted attraction in Illinois.
The event is a charity fundraiser, with all proceeds donated back to the community to benefit local causes such as fire and police departments, scout groups, and scholarships. It has been running for over 45 years and features a trilogy of three unique haunts:
- M.C. Manor: A haunted mansion with movie-quality sets and intense scares.
- Spook Hollow Trail: A winding, scary trail that loops through the woods of Independence Park.
- M.C. Nightmare: A dark and industrial-themed haunt.
Location and schedule
- Address: 613 Lasalle Blvd, Marquette Heights, IL.
- Schedule: The attraction is open on the last three Fridays and Saturdays in October.
- Tickets: General admission tickets can be purchased at the gate or online. A “Speed Pass” is also available to shorten your wait time.
- Not-so-scary event: The organization sometimes hosts a free, “not-so-scary” version of the event suitable for younger children, often on the last Saturday of October
