Getting married? I bet you are ready for it to be over. All the planning, planning, and MORE PLANNING!
I was over it after the first day. My now wife showed me two colors for seat covers, I picked the one I liked. It wasn’t the one she liked, and she got frustrated with me. In my mind, I’m wondering, “Why was there even an option?”
So, I informed her to just let me know what she wanted to do and to not ask my opinion if it doesn’t matter. We have now been married for almost 5 years.
One thing people don’t do is enjoy their wedding! I made sure to enjoy mine. This might be the last time you get all of your friends and family together in one room, so make sure to have a couple cocktails and throw a sweet party! I think a few folks are still recovering from that hangover.
I also get asked if I will DJ weddings. Nope. Not this guy. I am not going to be the reason your bride is mad because I played a request for one of your guests. I also know the first dance is a big deal, so make sure you pick the right song!
My wife loves the band Incubus, so we went with the song “Dig.” Not R&B, I know, but… Happy wife, happy life!
Pop Sugar put together a list of 25 R&B songs that are PERFECT for the first dance! So, if you are getting married this year check out the list and re-evaluate your choice for your first dance as a married couple!
Is Justin Timberlake’s “Until The End of Time” not modern enough? Because I can’t believe it’s not on this list!
