The last time I watched The Simpsons, I was watching reruns on FXX.  It has been a very long time since I have actually watched a new episode.  They must be doing something right as they continue their reign on Sunday nights on Fox for 20 plus seasons.

A big part of the success of The Simpsons has to be how they incorporate so many mainstream topics into the show.  This time they use Drake’s “Started From The Bottom.”  In the clip below, you will see that Bart gets a dollar daily for hiding a women in his closet.  Like any kid being given a steady stream of money, he spends it on the things that would make any kid happy: candy, ice cream, toys and even lunch money.  I have to say, Bart is a smart shopper spending his money at the 98 cent store as not to blow through it too quickly.
