Alright ladies, we’ve all heard it before… the sound of men whining and complaining about how long it takes us to get ready.
The problem is that guys don’t understand how much effort and focus it takes to get our hair and makeup just right, and they especially don’t understand how difficult it is to make our eyes look as good as they do! To men, eyeliner is like a pencil and it “shouldn’t be that hard” or it “shouldn’t take that long”…. HA. I’ve always told my guys friend and boyfriends that I would be happy to do their makeup so they could see how much effort it takes to look good, and I guess BuzzFeed had the same idea.
This video shows a few guys trying out liquid eyeliner. They start with a classic wing tip look (my typical day to day style) on one eye then try a fishtail look on the other. Now, I pride myself on my ability to do an entire runway ready face in just 20 minutes, but I always have to go slow when it comes to the eyeliner because one wrong move and you have eyeliner smudged all over your face and your eyes start watering and you look like a hot mess and have to start all over… Pretty much what every single one of these guys experiences in this video.
Thank you BuzzFeed for giving guys the chance to try and understand what most of us women go through each and every morning. Eyeliner is no laughing matter, it takes time, patience and skill.
To all the men watching this video… maybe you’ll be a little nicer the next time your lady is getting ready and think twice before asking her “what’s taking so long”.
