FREE ACCESS to The Street Gallery – with the African American Wall of Fame, notable Peorians kiosk featuring Richard Pryor, and Story Studio – where you may record your own oral history remembering Richard Pryor.

3 pm: WASHINGTON & STATE STREET – Richard Pryor Sculpture Unveiling

The African American Hall of Fame Museum (AAHFM) proudly announces “Richard Pryor – More than just a Comedian” – the larger-than-life Richard Pryor sculpture work – has been completed. The bronze casting of Richard will be located in the downtown area of Washington Street and State Street in the New Warehouse District in Peoria. Sculptor Preston Jackson is finalizing the details for the installation. Please join the Richard Pryor sculpture committee, Jennifer Lee Pryor, Richard’s family, Richard’s friends and the AAHFM board for the unveiling. (Via: The Traveler Weekly )
